Red
Dwarfs own King Of Camelot Brian
Cox shows no sign of slowing down
just yet. He's appeared in so
many things and you probably
don't even recognise him, some
might not even know who he was or
that he actually appeared in Red
Dwarf. He
was born in Dundee, Scotland on
the 1st June 1946 and is an Emmy
Award winning actor and he'll
soon be hitting our screens quite
alot in the next year or so.
Heres a little more on the
man......

....
Many will probably remember him most for
his appearance in 2003's X-Men 2 playing
the part of the baddie William Stryker,
the man who created the indestructable
skeleton inside Wolverine. He has also
made appearances in american comedy Frasier
playing the part of Harry Moon (Daphnes
Father), The New
Adventures of Superman as
well as the UK's Inspector
Morse and Minder.
On the
silver screen he has been involved in a
number of memorable films such as Rob Royand Braveheartwhilst
more recently appearing in 2002's The
Bourne Identity and The
Ring, not
forgetting his brilliant performance in X2as
previously mentioned.
Upcoming
work includes the crime thriller 'Sin'
starring Ving Rhames and Gary Oldman,
that was supposedly set for 2003 but an
official date is yet to be set.
2004 is
set to be a good year for the man as he
currently has two films in development
which are set for a release in the new
year. First up is 'The
Reckoning' where
he'll play a character called Tobias, the
movie will star Spider-man's Green Goblin
Willem Defoe. IMDb description is as
follows:
"A
priest on the lam takes up with a
traveling band of actors, who then
discover a murder has occurred and try to
solve it by recreating the crime in a
play"
He will
also be appearing in one of 2004's most
anticipated movies 'The
Trojan War' which
will star Brad Pitt, LOTR's Legolas
Orlando Bloom who'll be reunited with
Sean Bean who played Boromir in
Fellowship of the Ring (and who also
appears in the Extended version of The
Two Towers), veteran actor Peter O'Toole
will also make an appearance. Cox will
play a character called Agamemnon and
IMDb describes the movie as follows:
"In
the year 1193 B.C., Paris, a prince of
Troy stole Helen, Queen of Sparta, away
from her husband, Menelaus, setting the
kingdoms of Mycenaean Greece at war with
Troy. The Greeks began a bloody siege at
Troy that lasted over ten years. Achilles
was the greatest hero among the Greeks,
while Hector, the eldest son of Priam,
King of Troy, embodied the hopes of the
people of his city"
So keep
an out because soon theres going to be
Cox everywhere!
