OUT OF MY TREE
Here is
another of my magnificent hobbies,
collecting Shoe Trees. There's just so
many varieties to sit and gaze at for
hours on end. I remember a week last
Sunday where I spent the whole afternoon
with a mug of steaming coffee in one hand
and a pickle sandwich in the other, just
looking at my collection... it was great
fun!!

I'll
start with Aromatic Shoe Trees.
Here are just a few. These cedar
shoe trees are made in the USA
with a lifetime manufacturers
warranty covering mechanical
failure, they think of everything
don't they. A true Shoe tree
lover like myself will never need
to worry about these babie's
breaking and I've spent many an
hour cataloguing my collection,
its so exciting and fills me with
an immense buzz. These are very
convenient as they come with a
little loop at the top so you can
hang them on any coat hanger or
if not then any old nail sticking
out of your wall that used to
have a picture on but which has
long since been removed, don't
pretend you don't have them,
everyone does!! |
| This
is the Deluxe quality Aromatic
Cedar shoe tree. This style has a
hook design for easier removal
and has a wider heel at the back,
this is for the bigger footed
man. It is 100% Aromatic Cedar
which absorbs moisture and
deodorizes. If the tree loses
it's scent then lightly sand them
to restore the fresh smell. This
would be the ideal gift for
anyone as it really shows you
care and also gives them a subtle
hint about their footular odour,
I personally prefer to tell them
their feet smell like they've
walked through a river of dead
rats then lightly sprinkled their
feet in Cat's Urine. |

For
some reason people can't accept the truth
and I've spent many a night in the Medi
Bay with cuts and bruises. Some people
just can't accept the facts.

This
model designed from European wood
lasts, the Europa is the highest
vamp shoe tree, the Europa fills
the shoe completely and features
a polished brass knob. This is
one of my favourites and you can
often catch me of a night
polishing the brass whilst
munching a packet of Hob Nob
biscuits. Lister lent this one
once and to my horror it came
back with fungus on. I vomited
repeatedly for the next 3 days.
It was horrible.

| This
outstanding model features a full
toe with ventilation slots to
dissipate moisture. It really is
a top quality buy. I also think
its the funniest as if you look
at the toe end the slots look
like eyes and where the metal
joins... that looks like a mouth.
It still has me giggling now.
What fun it is to be a shoetree
collector. |
