Back in the Red - DEERSTALKER WATCH!!

With the current deerstalker trend sweeping the nation and the world I have decided to compile Deerstalker Watch where anyone can mail me their sightings of anyone, anywhere wearing a deerstalker. Many people feared to follow the trend from seeing Red Dwarf but since the Liverpool and Manchester Meets where everyone gets their picture taken wearing one, the sales have sky rocketed!

Tuesday 4th November 2003 - A man in Hull is spotted wearing a deerstalker. He appeared to be in his late 40's/early 50's and is described as tall, lean but with haggard facial features. A woman with a wavy perm and a red duffelcoat was seen with him at the scene

Wednesday 5th November 2003 - Jealous webmaster of Ganymede & Titan Ian 'Ian' Symes foregoes his green envious look at the deerstalker craze story to bring me news of second rate pop and movie star J Lo wearing a deerstalker in her latest poor effort 'Baby I... summat, can't remember, whatever'.

Saturday 8th November 2003 - Ganymede and Titan traitor Ian 'Ian' Symes whiles away a boring 90 minutes watching his beloved Aston Villa lose 2-0 by spotting a trendy guy wearing a deerstalker in the Holte End.

Monday 10th November 2003 - Ganymede & Titan's Ian 'Ian' Symes makes it a hat-trick of spots as he notices a guy on the streets of Birmingham wearing the trendiest hat around. I later find out John Hoare locks Symes in a cage in an underground dungeon over at G&T for his constant crossing of enemy lines.

Tuesday 18th November 2003 - Ian 'Ian' Symes comes up with the goods again as he spots Jeremy Dyson wearing a deerstalker on the League of Gentlemen Series Three DVD

Wednesday 19th November 2003 - Solihull High Street becomes the new fashion capital of the world as an old woman is spotted braving the elements in a deerstalker. Ian 'Ian' Symes makes it five spots in sucession, Back in the Red feels he's the only one who really cares.

Friday 21st November 2003 - Joey Cannon makes her first contribution as she spots a man wearing a Deerstalker in Southampton's Sweetmarket newsagents at 8:21am, thus proving Deerstalkers can be worn morning, noon and night!

Monday 24th November 2003 - Sarah Cowieson's normal Monday morning bus ride to work is brightened when she spots a man wearing a nice furry deerstalker, for those in the Nottingham area you will be pleased to now that: "it was at approx 8am and he got off in Radford (slightly rough area of Nottingham!!)"

Lovely!!

Tuesday 25th November 2003 - Whilst watching the Champions League tie between Celtic and Anderlecht, I noticed a stern faced jock wearing the delightful piece of headgear

Thursday 27th November 2003 - Whilst myself and Joey Cannon are watching the film 'Elf' we notice the main character Buddy wearing the snazziest hat in the world. First Hull, now Hollywood, where will this craze end!?

Tuesday 9th December 2003 - I make it three spots in a row as I see a woman walking past Safeway in a deerstalker in Manchester City Centre....

....... imagine my delight when just 2 hours later I spot a man wearing a deerstalker on Newton Street, Manchester heading towards the Post Office. I nearly creamed meself!

Wednesday 10th December 2003 - Safeway becomes the centre of fashion as a woman is spotted yet again by myself. I'd only just cleaned myself up from the day before, I need a pair of rubber pants!

Thursday 11th December 2003 - My brother, Robert, notices a man in his workplace don a deerstalker whilst building pallets, ah, everyones joining in!

12th December 2003 to January 24th - In just over a monthI must have spotted numerous Deerstalked heads, the craze is sweeping the nation, from Manchester to Southampton the only head gear to be seen in is. ... well.... a deerstalker!

I've seen shoppers in Manchester and Southampton shopping happily whilst donning big fluffy, furry ones to nice discreet, less furry ones.

A more indepth review of sightings will return to normal service properly!
